The School of Computing, Engineering and Built Environment helps businesses and organisations to innovate, grow and develop across the disciplines of engineering, IT, cyber security and the built and natural environment. GCU provides training; consultancy and knowledge transfer partnerships (KTPs) to meet your business needs and offer access to recruiting our students for work placements and live projects.

With our flexible study options organisations have benefited from recruiting our enthusiastic students on a work placement using the time as a six-month interview. Many of our students have gone on to secure a full-time position and convert to the part-time route of the degree.

The School has an impressive history of collaboration with private and public organisations at every level from SMEs to large international companies including: DOBLE, Howden, ScotRail, IBM, Celtic Connections and London Fire Brigade.
