Risk Clinic
Bridging the gap between academic theory and professional practice
The Risk Clinic provides an opportunity for Risk Management students to bridge the gap between academic theory and professional practice, creating a deeper understanding of academic and professional knowledge.
Students will be part of a learning environment where the real world of business and risk occurs within the classroom.
Gain employability skills
As well as sharpening their critical and analytical skills, students will enhance their employability skills via activities such as:
- Mock board meetings and presentations gaining feedback from our industry partners
- Develop risk reports and registers from real-time risk data, applying risk frameworks to case studies
- Work with stakeholders on a non-profit basis
- Join a mentor scheme linking students to risk graduates.
“The risk clinic is an excellent opportunity for risk students to gain an advantage in the graduate employment sector. Students will work with risk experts and future employers to develop leadership, communication and analytical skills. Students will use real-time risk data and case studies to engage in applied risk management similar to that in the workplace”
