Reading and planning
Good writing requires good reading. Your writing reflects the depth, breadth and quality of your reading: critical writing requires broad, critical reading of a range of credible academic sources.
When you come from school, college or a different education system, you'll almost always be surprised by the quantity of reading you're expected to do. Reading is a complex, demanding, but rewarding process at university, through which you develop critical, deeper understanding of your subject.
Over the course of every module, you're required to read a range of texts to prepare for lectures, seminars, presentations and written assignments.
