- Submit the application from a GCU (Glasgow Caledonian University) email account.

4. Receipt and Review

- You will receive an automatic receipt when the application has been received by the committee.
- The application will then be logged and reviewed by the committee.
- A decision on the application will normally be sent to the applicant within four weeks of submission.
5. Revisions and Resubmissions

- Applicants may be asked to make changes to the application and/or to provide further information.
- If revisions are required, the applicant will be given a list of points to cover and an indication of what is expected in the resubmission.
- Ensure that resubmissions include all materials, not just the ones that have been changed.
- Indicate on the email that it is a resubmission (e.g., version 2) and mark any changes in **RED**.
- Revised documents should be given appropriate version numbers (e.g., version 2).
6. Further Review

- The application may need to be reviewed again by the committee once the requested changes have been made and/or further information has been provided.
- Once the committee is satisfied with the application and proposed study, the applicant will be notified that ethical approval has been granted.
- The notification of ethical approval will be sent to the applicant via email.
