2021 Magnusson Award winner

‌GCU graduate and 2021 Magnusson Award winner, Tabitha Nyariki, used her Magnusson Award to help rebuild and restock the school library of the Imprezza Academy in Kenya which had been destroyed by fire in 2018. Generously funded by Santander UK Universities, Tabitha’s award also helped to train the Academy’s teachers in library management. The Academy’s pupils are mainly orphans and children from harsh backgrounds, and for many, the school is both home and place of study.

I am delighted that through this Award, supported by Santander Universities, I was able to complete my project at the Imprezza Academy, a project that is very close to my heart. The award will have a huge impact on the Academy’s community and enhance their quality of learning and teaching.
