Caledonian Club
As part of the University’s mission to promote the Common Good, our award winning Caledonian Club works with children as young as three through to 18 and their families, from some of the most disadvantaged areas in Glasgow, to help raise aspirations and build key life skills. With a focus on the key areas of Arts and Language, Future Aspirations and Transition, as well as a vibrant Literacy Programme, the Club has successfully engaged thousands of children, parents and carers since it was launched in 2008 through a variety of on and off campus activities.
The Club has received many accolades and consistent praise over the years for its unique and inclusive approach, being the first outreach initiative of its kind to work with whole year groups. It was recently highlighted in the prestigious #MadeAtUni campaign as being in the top 100 most significant breakthroughs to come from UK universities which have improved our everyday lives.
The Caledonian Club also works in communities local to our campus in London.
