Governance
As the University for the Common Good, Glasgow Caledonian University is committed to minimising potential environmental impacts associated with its operations in an effective, evidence-based and transparent way.
Our sustainability commitments stem from Strategy 2030 and are detailed in our Sustainability Enabling Plan (SEP). The SEP is delivered through a series of thematic action plans, summarised here.
Strategic leadership and oversight for the University’s sustainability initiatives is provided by the Sustainability Steering Group (SSG), with the Sustainability Forum (SF) functioning as a networking forum for students and staff to get involved and help develop projects sustainability projects. Both SSG and SF meet four times per year.
Students wishing to get involved in the above groups should contact the Students Association, whilst staff should email sustainability@gcu.ac.uk
The University's sustainability budget statement is available below by academic year.
