As part of the 2025 Glasgow Goes Green Sustainability Festival, the University’s Sustainability Team has launched the Sustainability Hub on GCULearn with a variety of sustainability training resources for both students and staff.

The Sustainability Hub, a deliverable of the University’s Sustainability Student and Staff Engagement Plan, currently includes an induction/refresher to help students and staff make the most use of the University’s sustainability initiatives/programmes and a more a more advanced Sustainability Champions Learning Pack for anyone that wishes to develop a broader understanding of sustainability and incorporate elements into their role (including into their teaching).

Paulo Cruz, Head of Operational Sustainability said: “We developed the Sustainability Hub to raise awareness about the practical measures the University introduced to help students and staff make more sustainable choices whilst on campus and in their professional roles. Over the coming months will add more training modules (we’re already working on Fairtrade and Carbon Literacy modules). We believe there is something for everyone in the Sustainability Hub and invite students and colleagues to complete the training available and help cement the University’s place as the most sustainable university in Scotland.”

You can access the Sustainability Hub here – all you need to do is self-enrol to the organisation and you can access the different courses included in the Hub. You will receive a certificate for completing each of the courses available.
