Volunteer for the Glasgow Goes Green Festival
The Glasgow Goes Green festival (GGG) is back once again, bringing together universities and colleges across Glasgow. This year the event will take place on Wednesday, 5 March at the University of Glasgow's Advanced Research Centre (ARC).
The focus of the festival is to explore the diverse ways that sustainability can be integrated across disciplines. From science and technology to arts and social sciences, this one-day festival will showcase how every field can contribute to a sustainable future. The theme for this year is 'Sustainability Synergies - Uniting Disciplines for a Greener Future'.
We are currently looking for sustainability enthusiasts, experts, innovators and passionate change-makers (individuals or groups) to volunteer at the festival, by delivering workshops, stalls, performances, exhibitions or any other activities. GCU students and staff who feel their idea/activity would align with our sustainability theme are encouraged to apply.
At this stage, you don't have to submit a fully developed idea as we are here to help you develop project ideas, provide you with resources, and sort out logistics. Your activity can also take place at GCU between 3 and 5 March, if you're unable to host it during the main festival day.
Please submit your ideas by 18 January and we will be in touch to discuss further.
Meanwhile, you can check out the festival Instagram page for further updates @GlasgowGoesGreenfestival and email sustainability@gcu.ac.uk if you have any questions.
