Transgender Awareness
Glasgow Caledonian University marks Transgender Awareness Week and Transgender Day of Remembrance by raising awareness of the importance of trans equality and inclusion and offering the university community useful resources and guidance.
Trans Awareness Week asks trans and gender diverse people and their allies to take action to educate people about who transgender people are,. People are encouraged to share their stories and experiences, and highlight the prejudice, discrimination and violence that affect the transgender community across society. Transgender Day of Remembrance is observed on 20 November every year to honour the memory of the transgender and gender-diverse people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence.

"This week is not just about raising awareness. It is a call to action for all of us to educate ourselves, challenge misconceptions, and promote respect for every individual, regardless of their identity."
