Spotlight On...Mental Health

The Spotlight on… series helps to shine a light on mental health or issues that can impact our mental health. We aim to promote an inclusive culture of openness and trust, raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing, and reduce the negativity often associated with it.

Our series of open and authentic panel discussions with Q and As include a round table of Glasgow Caledonian and external experts, and individuals with relevant lived experiences. Each one addresses a different topic related to mental health or issues that can impact our mental health.

In addition to the session, we are creating videos, training material and resources to enable staff and students to better understand the topics and provide support for dealing with the relevant issues.

Upcoming event:

Join us on the 20th of March 2025 for a panel discussion to explore the importance of conversations to our mental health, and discuss practical strategies for initiating and maintaining these vital conversations about mental health. Our panel will discuss how to create safe spaces for open dialogue, overcome stigma, and support one another in our journey towards better mental wellbeing.
