Student Wellbeing Expert Panel
Glasgow Caledonian University undertake a whole university approach to the mental health and wellbeing of our students and staff. This means that not only do we embed support services and provisions, but we explore the impacts of other aspects of the students’ academic experience and how this will impact on their health and wellbeing. Essential to our work are our values of co-creating services and support with students.
There are numerous projects which help us to embed the student voice in our approach to enhancing support and experience of the mental health and wellbeing of students, including closely working with GCU Students’ Association, the Student Mental Health Agreement, gaining student feedback and suggestions for our services, holding consultations events, and, the establishment of the Student Expert Panel on Student Wellbeing.
The Student Expert Panel on Student Wellbeing is a a sub-group of the Student Wellbeing Advisory Group (the cross university advisory group for the continuous enhancement and delivery of a whole university approach to student mental health and wellbeing, incorporating all aspects of the student experience). The panel is co-chaired between the University and GCU Students’ Association and is constructed otherwise entirely of student panel members.
