Widening Participation and Outreach
The Widening Participation and Outreach department consists of four teams: GCU Connect, College Connect, the Caledonian Club and Routes for All. These teams provide widening participation opportunities for our partner primary and secondary schools, and articulation and transition support to colleges within Glasgow and its surrounding areas. The department also provides pre-entry, transition and on-programme support to students who are Care-Experience or Estranged at Glasgow Caledonian.
Although the department has a number of permanent staff, its work also relies upon a pool of employed student mentors who are recruited from GCU and work across the various teams in the department.
Caledonian Club
The Caledonian Club is Glasgow Caledonian University’s multi-award winning widening participation and community engagement initiative, working across our local communities in Glasgow, London and New York.
