Purchasing

If you need any advice on purchasing AV or IT items please contact the IT Helpdesk and we will assist you with your purchase.

Information Services has specified three standard configurations:

  • Office only worker
  • Hybrid capable worker
  • Games development/engineering simulation user

In general departments should restrict purchases to these standard configurations as Information Services is able to offer higher levels of service for them.

All purchase requests should be logged via the New Computer request on My Service portal.

Where non-standard configurations are required, a business case must be included in the request.  Your business case must include detailed information as to why your work cannot be carried out on a standard configuration model.

Macintosh computers and second computers of any type also need a business case.
