Information Security Training
The IT Training and Development team have created a suite of Information Security Training Modules as part of the University’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that all staff are equipped with the knowledge to work with GCU information securely.
The University takes the protection of GCU information very seriously. Everyone is responsible for ensuring that information is not accessed inappropriately, lost or stolen. Financial penalties for misuse go beyond organisational responsibility and include personal liability.
The training can be done in stages and takes around an hour and a half to complete.
There are 4 modules:
• Information Security Awareness
• Secure email management
• Information Classification and Handling
• Freedom of Information
Each module is followed by a short test of understanding. The pass mark is 50%.
Google Chrome is the recommended web browser for undertaking the Information Security training modules.
