It is recommended to use the eduroam CAT (Configuration Assistance Tool) for setting up your wifi connection. This can be applied whether you are on or off campus.
On campus For devices that do not have an internet connection
Search for and connect to the Wireless network called gcu-wifi-setup . Open a web browser and a web page with connection instructions will open up.
For devices that already have an internet connection Please visit the CAT download site
Off campus If you require assistance setting up your device, please see the guides below.
If you have previously used eduroam with an old password, or from another establishment you may need to first remove the previous settings

Click "Allow" A pop-up on the upper right of the screen will ask if you want to install the eduroam profile. Click the Apple logo, system preferences, profiles Click "Install... "under the Profiles window. Enter your systems username and password to approve the install Enter your login credentials students - username {username}@caledonian.ac.uk and password staff - username{username}@gcu.ac.uk and password You will see the eduroam connection is Verified You will now be connected to eduroam when on campus or in an eduroam-supported location.

Switch on your Chromebook Select your language and keyboard language from the top two menus In the third menu select "eduroam" In EAP method select PEAP In Phase 2 authentication select MSCHAPv2 Leave Server CA certificate as Default In "Identity" type your email address students - username {username}@caledonian.ac.uk and password staff - username{username}@gcu.ac.uk and password Leave Anonymous identity as blank Ensure the Save identity and password option is checked and click "Connect" Once enabled, click "Continue" You are now connected to the eduroam wireless network.
