Finance student named as rising star

A finance student from Glasgow Caledonian University has been named as one of the rising stars of the sector.

Laurie Brown picked up Best Performing Level 3 Student at an industry lunch supported by the Insurance and Actuarial Society of Glasgow.

More than 130 professionals working in the financial advice sector attended the annual Club FS Christmas event, which is backed by the Chartered Insurance Institute’s representative body in the west of Scotland.

Laurie is in his final year at GCU and is studying BA Finance Investment and Risk.
