Applications open for Mauritius scholarship

Students from Glasgow Caledonian University are being offered the chance to visit our partner college ALC (African Leadership College) in Mauritius through a fully-funded scholarship.

Successful applicants will stay in student halls and attend classes at the ALC for a week in February.

The ALC Mauritius Scholarship covers flight, accommodation, food, and four leadership lectures and is open to UK undergraduate students from a low-income background.

As well as attending classes, students will be able to explore the sights of Port Louis in Mauritius.

Applications are open now and the closing date is January 7.

Students must be progressing well on their course and be available for an interview the week commencing January 14.

Donald MacIntyre, a 2018 scholarship recipient, said:  "I loved every moment of the trip and I will remember it for the rest of my life.

"I was able to meet some amazing people. This is something that can’t be taught and I am so grateful that I was able to be a part of the ALC trip."
