Get well soon, Sir Alex

Students and staff at Glasgow Caledonian University are wishing Sir Alex Ferguson CBE a speedy recovery after his sudden illness at the weekend.

Sir Alex is an honorary graduate of GCU and a major donor who provides opportunities for less-advantaged students.

Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Pamela Gillies CBE FRSE, said: “We are saddened to hear of his need for emergency surgery. We are all wishing him a speedy recovery and sending best wishes to his dear wife and family.”
