Veterans support given Bronze standard

We are proud to share that GCU has been awarded the Bronze standard for the Armed Forces Covenant.

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise from the nation that those who serve or have served, and their families, are treated fairly. The principles of the covenant transcend all Parliaments and all political parties.

GCU has provided veterans support since 2013 through the GCU HM Forces Learning Partnership. The primary aim of the partnership is to ensure the smooth transition of veterans from military to civilian life, via an educational pathway developed by GCU, the FE colleges, third sector organisations and the Armed Forces.

As part of the learning partnership, we are working to create a veterans' community.

If you are a veteran, family member or a reservist and:

• would like to be part of this community, or
• would be willing to help with the further development of the learning partnership, or
• would be willing to talk to prospective students who are veterans or family members, or
• any or all of the above
