GCU's Fashion Showcase will put sustainable fashion centre stage as the annual celebration is streamed online for the first time.

The live event on June 24 will feature video packages of catwalk designs, a creative exhibition, and a panel discussion on the future of fashion, featuring Great British Sewing Bee judge Professor Patrick Grant and retail industry expert Professor Jane Shepherdson CBE.

As Glasgow prepares to host COP26, this year's theme is Style and Sustainability. The student designs include customised vintage clothing, outfits created from existing garments, and new products incorporating the world-famous Harris Tweed cloth.

The creative exhibition features projects carried out in association with Scottish brands, such as Johnstons of Elgin, Beira and Forty Clothing, that showcase various skills, including product and brand development, and computer-aided design.

Films showcasing the best GCU student work will be introduced from Glasgow, London, and New York at the event, which starts at 4pm.
