Excelling in teaching and research
GCU has been named as one of the world's leading universities for teaching and research in our key subject areas, according to the 2022 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by subject.
The subject-specific tables have ranked the University in the top 401-500 for social sciences and for clinical and health subjects. Clinical and health has improved its ranking from 501-600 last year.
We have been ranked in the top 501-600 for business and in the top 601-800 for engineering.
In September, GCU was ranked in the THE World University Rankings 2022, which rates universities worldwide on measures including teaching, research, international outlook and income from industry (knowledge transfer).
We ranked in the 601-800 banding, out of 1,662 institutions, maintaining the position we achieved last year.
There were positive improvements across all categories for the University, with the results showing the greatest rise for the International Outlook category, followed closely by Citations and Industry Income, with scores for teaching and research highest since the University was first placed in the rankings in 2016.
