Applications open for MA TV Fiction Writing scholarship
Glasgow Caledonian has launched a scholarship to help talented writers who are care experienced or from a refugee/asylum seeker background break into the TV industry.
The Ernst Maas MA TV Scholarship will fully fund the tuition fees of the UK's only full-time masters dedicated to writing television drama.
The successful candidate will also receive a one-off non-repayable grant of £4000 to help with living costs during their studies.
Graduates of our MA TV Fiction Writing have gone on to work on some of the most popular long-running shows on British television, including EastEnders, Casualty and Holby City, and have diversified into films, books, and theatre.
This Scholarship is open to any applicant who resides in the UK, has applied for the full-time programme and has received an offer, who is from one of the following backgrounds:
- Care experienced
- From a refugee/asylum-seeking background and has indefinite leave to remain in the UK
- First-generation refugees/asylum seekers (meaning your parents were refugees/asylum seekers).
- The first in their family to go to university
