Fashion Showcase 2024

Glasgow Caledonian University’s Fashion Showcase returns to campus on June 4.

Featuring a catwalk show and creative exhibition, the event will showcase outfits created for live industry projects with sportswear giant Nike and highland wear outfitter MacGregor & MacDuff.

The 2024 celebration, hosted by broadcaster Sophie Wallace, will also feature branding work for fashion label Magic Castles and visual merchandise designs for online retailer Sevenstore.

By combining creative design with practical business, our inventive courses produce graduates who are ready to succeed in the fashion industry.

This year, our BA (Hons) Fashion Design with Business students were challenged to develop their own contemporary collaboration collection with Nike, produce high fashion garments for MacGregor & MacDuff inspired by tartan fabrics, and create a unique concept collection taking account of sustainability, social purpose and identity.

The best work will feature in a spectacular runway show of more than 100 outfits.

Meanwhile, our BA(Hons) International Fashion Branding students will present the results of their branding and communication work for Magic Castles alongside visual merchandising treatments produced for Sevenstore.

The exhibition will also feature designs from this year’s MSc International Fashion Marketing cohort, for projects covering fashion communication, buying and visual merchandising and branding.

Join us as we celebrate the best work of the next generation of fashion designers and creatives. Guests have the choice of attending an afternoon or evening show this year.
