National Student Survey

The most recent National Student Survey (NSS) outcomes have yielded excellent results for the University.

Among our many successes are Learning resources (89% positive), where we outperform both the Scottish and UK sector averages, Teaching (85% positive), and the Academic support we provide to our students (84% positive).

A total of 21 programmes achieved outstanding scores of 90% or higher for teaching, including BSc (Hons) Radiotherapy & Oncology and BSc (Hons) Orthoptics, which both scored a perfect 100%.

The University has excellent teaching outcomes relative to the sector in many subject areas, including:

The NSS is one of the largest surveys of its kind, with more than 339,000 responses received from final-year undergraduate students across the UK this year. The outcomes help prospective students make decisions about what and where to study and help us make improvements for our current and future students.

Principal and Vice-Chancellor Professor Steve Decent said: " As the leading modern university in Scotland, we are committed to delivering an excellent student learning experience, and we place the highest value on student feedback. I am delighted to see so many brilliant successes in this year's National Student Survey, which is testament to the hard work and dedication of staff from across the University.”
