Psychology in the courtroom expert is a Spotify hit

Glasgow Caledonian University researcher Dr Lee John Curley has been sharing his expertise on the psychology of the courtroom on a top Spotify podcast.
The Lecturer in Applied Psychology, in the School of Health and Life Sciences Department of Psychology, was approached by the host of the weekly ‘Preconceived’ programme Zale Mednick, who “dives deep into the intricacies of human experience, challenging the assumptions that shape our understanding of the world”.
The show, which attracts a monthly view rate of 10,000 people, went live with its latest episode featuring Dr Curley -https://open.spotify.com/episode/0NxCsEnjfVw87hzjpAJXXi?si=OEFMViQSRaCvUllQikqU6Q
Dr Curley was approached because he is a leading expert on the psychology of the courtroom and has had many research papers published on jury biases, forensic cognition, legal psychology and decision science.
The Preconceived show boasts to be “more than just a podcast; it's an invitation to view the world through a different lens”. Spotify is a world-wide audio streaming and media service, based in Sweden.
Dr Curley said: "I was delighted to be asked to appear on the podcast, the interviewer told me that he was interested in the topic of juror biases and found all my research on the subject when he did a global search for experts in the field. It really made me feel like my work is being recognised internationally, which makes all the long nights researching the subject worth it.
"I really enjoyed being interviewed. I have done stuff for the traditional media before, such as the BBC and the Telegraph, which was great. This was different. Here it felt like it was a nice conversation with a friend, who was trying to understand more. I would recommend it as a means of getting your research heard on a huge digital platform.”
