Top Scottish modern university for highly skilled employment
Glasgow Caledonian University produces the highest proportion of graduates entering highly skilled occupations compared to any other Scottish modern, according to the latest Graduate Outcomes survey.
The national survey by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) tracks graduates' activities 15 months after completion, and shows the University continues to demonstrate exceptional outcomes.
The leading modern university in Scotland, an impressive 82% of employed graduates from Glasgow Caledonian secured positions in highly skilled occupations, outperforming the Scottish average by 2%.
With 91% of our graduates entering employment or further study, the University ranks joint second in Scotland, surpassing the sector average.
An impressive 71% of our graduates secured full-time roles, a 2% year-on-year increase that ties Glasgow Caledonian for first in Scotland.
In addition to strong employment outcomes, our graduate reflections outcomes demonstrate the University's effectiveness in preparing students for meaningful work that leverages their learned skills. An impressive 87% of Glasgow Caledonian graduates agreed their current roles or activities are meaningful, ahead of the sector average. This positive sentiment extended across 81%, who felt their current activity fit their future career plans, again outperforming the sector average.
