University shows support for NHS Scotland reform and renew journey
Glasgow Caledonian University School of Health and Life Sciences (SHLS) Dean Professor Anita Simmers joined Scottish Government Cabinet Secretary for NHS Recovery, Health and Social Care Michael Matheson MSP and National Clinical Director Jason Leitch at the NHS Scotland Event this week.
As Scotland's leading provider of healthcare professionals and ground-breaking research, Professor Simmers said she was delighted the SHLS was an official Event Supporter at the NHS Scotland's flagship event, which brought together delegates across the health and social care sector.
The theme for this year's NHS Scotland Event in Glasgow was Recovery and Renewal in our Health and Care Services and Professor Simmers said: "The event was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with colleagues across the sector and share our enthusiasm to reform and renew coming out of the pandemic."
Professor Leitch, who is also Chair of the Board for the NHS Scotland Event, said he was "delighted to welcome Glasgow Caledonian University as an Event Supporter for the 2023 event".
He said the NHS Scotland Event was the leading health event in Scotland, and this year's focus was on "our priorities for the recovery and renewal journey as well as building on the learning from collaborative working to deliver the highest quality care for every individual in Scotland".
