Tracing classmates

Ever wonder what your former classmates or lecturers are doing now?

Why not contact them, or organise a class reunion?

Many of our alumni of all ages and disciplines do just that, whether it be in groups, classes or student clubs and societies. Whilst we rely on individuals to organise reunion events, the Alumni Relations Team are more than happy to help to facilitate your reunion and provide all the support you need.

Here is how we can help:

Reconnect with old friends.

Please provide us with your name, your subject of study, your graduation year, your classmate's name and their maiden name if appropriates. We will then search our database of over 120,000 alumni to try to trace your classmate(s) or former/current staff members for you. While we are unable to give out addresses for individuals (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998), we will happily forward a message by email or post on your behalf. We will ask that any responses are sent directly to you so please ensure we have your up-to-date email and postal address details.

Plan the reunion event

• Venue

  
  We have a number of rooms and meeting spaces available for events at our Glasgow and London campuses, available to GCU Alumni with a 15% discount. Let us know how many people you are looking to cater for and on what date. We can also advise you of possible local venues close to campus that may suit your purposes.

• Catering

  
  For campus-based events, we have a fantastic catering team who will be able to provide for your event. We can liaise with them on your behalf and provide menus and costs.

• Staff attendance at your event

  
  If you wish, a member of the Alumni Relations Team or perhaps a member of staff from your subject area would be more than happy to try and attend your event to say a few words to the group and update you on some of the exciting developments happening in GCU since you left.

• Campus tours

  
  If you would like to include a campus tour for your group as part of the event, let us know and we will do our best to arrange this for you.

• Hotel accommodation

  
  GCU has corporate rates with a number of hotels local to the Glasgow campus and we are happy to offer these rates to our alumni, when organising reunion. For more information on the hotels and rates click here.

• Let us know!

  
  We love to hear about reunions taking place and can help to advertise your event for you through our social networking sites. If you wish, send us some pictures from your event and we will do our best to publish them on our website or in our next magazine!
