GCU graduate Elaine Boyd OBE, Director at Audit Scotland and Chair of ACCA Scotland Members Committee is a leading public sector auditor and holds an ACCA and ICAEW qualification. She is a member of the Financial Reporting Council Stakeholder Investment Group representing the public sector.

Elaine recently completed her 18-month term as an Exceed Worldwide trustee, a social enterprise that supports people with disabilities in developing countries. She has cerebral palsy and has been recognised as one of the UK’s most influential disabled people by the Shaw Trust Disability Power 100 list in 2020 and 2022. She also received the ACCA UK Public Sector Advocate of the Year in 2022.

Elaine also received an OBE in the 2022 New Year’s Honours List for public and charity services. Elaine enjoys learning new skills and challenging herself. She has learned to fly, ride horses and ski.
