Chirsty Harkins

From designing a Nike-inspired magazine at Glasgow Caledonian to organising major creator events, Chirsty Harkins’ story shows what’s possible when creativity meets determination.

Since graduating with a BA (Hons) in International Fashion Branding, she has become the Growth Marketing Manager at Unsociable, a company that partners with TikTok Shop to help brands grow their presence through live streams, affiliate marketing, and innovative social commerce strategies

Some of Chirsty’s favorite memories at Glasgow Caledonian were the friendships she built along the way.

“We did a lot of group work throughout my four years at university.”

From organising photo shoots to bringing their ideas to life, the hands-on, practical experience gave her invaluable skills she has carried throughout her career.

Now, Chirsty is taking the lead at Unsociable, where she is focused on driving the growth of the company through TikTok Shop. As the Growth Marketing Manager, she helps forge brand partnerships and enhance the company's online presence.

Her work involves strategising for creative campaigns and ensuring Unsociable’s name reaches a wider audience, helping brands thrive in the ever-evolving world of social commerce.

She also organised Unsociable’s first-ever TikTok Shop creator event, a milestone that she is incredibly proud of. “We had amazing brands like Tanologist, Nature Spell, Give Me Cosmetics, and 2bTanned on board, and over 120 creators joined us for the night.”

“It felt so rewarding to see how much everyone enjoyed themselves.”

Chirsty loves how TikTok is constantly evolving, keeping her job exciting and full of new challenges. She also has a deep appreciation for Glasgow Caledonian, especially the supportive staff and the opportunities that played a key role in shaping her career as well as the knowledge that she continues to use day to day in her career.
