Travel guidance
As part of the Strategy 2030, Glasgow Caledonian is committed to a truly international educational experience for our students and there are many mobility and exchange opportunities open to you.
It is important that you are safe whilst travelling and this document provides guidance on what you should do when you are travelling in the UK or internationally on University study and you find yourself in an emergency situation.
Travel for study, includes placements, exchanges, study abroad, field trips which are approved elements of your degree programme. This guidance should be read in conjunction with any information that has been issued to you by your academic department or if you are on exchange, the International Partnerships Office pre-departure briefing. If you are travelling with a member of GCU staff, they should be contacted first.
All students travelling on university business/study are covered by the University’s Travel Insurance policy. Please make sure you have a copy of this policy with you.
If you require any further information about travel safety, please contact your School/Programme Mobility Co-ordinator or the Travel Implementation Lead.
Wishing you safe and successful travels.
