Users from other universities are entitled to free reference access to our paper-based collections. You may be entitled to borrowing rights if your institution is a member of the SCONUL Access scheme. Check your eligibility and apply online prior to your visit.
GCU is an eduroam site, so if you are visiting from another institution which takes part in the scheme, you can connect to the internet via Wi-Fi. Find out more on the University's eduroam page .
All users of the library have access to our café on level 0 , and study facilities on all floors.

We are always pleased to show visitors around the Sir Alex Ferguson Library and to discuss the building and how our library service operates within it. To make this easier to arrange, and to avoid disappointment, please give a minimum of two weeks’ notice before your visit. Please send your request to library@gcu.ac.uk
You can also join the library free of charge under our community membership scheme. Full details are available on our membership page .
Computer access for visitors If you are visiting for a conference the organisers may have arranged a temporary Wi-Fi password for you. Check your conference pack for details and contact the organisers if it's not included.
If you are here on a longer study tour or visit, access is arranged with our Information Services Department by your contact in the host academic school or department.
Community members can borrow a laptop from the library desk on Level 0 for use on campus.
