We have a click and collect service available if you are not able to retrieve a book from the shelves yourself. If you have requested books using the click and collect service you must bring your student card with you when you come to the library to collect your books. We would encourage students to use digital and online copies where possible.
How to use the click and collect service

Go to Discover , sign in by clicking the Sign in button on the toolbar at the top right of the screen. Select Domain Login (All GCU students and staff) and enter your domain username and password to sign in Search for the item you are looking for using the search box Click the item title, then in the Get It section of the item details page click Request Click Send Request , you will see a confirmation that the request has been placed When the book is available an email will be sent to your University email account. The item can be collected from the Collection Point at the Library Desk. Please do not come to the library to collect any items until you have received an email confirming they are available for collection . You will have seven days to collect your books from the date you receive your confirmation email To cancel a request go to Discover , sign in and choose Library Account . You can now see an overview of your account, click Requests and cancel the item you no longer require

After you have received your email confirming your item is ready for collection, come to the Library with your student or staff card. You will not be able to borrow without your card Your book will be available from the collection point at the Library Desk on Level 0, arranged alphabetically by last name. You can collect your book and check it out to yourself using the self-service machines located beside the collection point

Returning books

You can either return your books via the self-service machines located throughout the library or via our dropbox (to the left of the revolving doors on level 0) which is accessible 24/7. Please post your items through this service and we will remove the items from your account. Please note items returned via the dropbox will be processed manually which may take up to 24 hours
