How do transgender students request a change of name?

The university has a transgender student support policy to ensure that we offer full support to our students who are transitioning. You can view our policies and further information on the support offered on the LGBT+ student pages .
As part of the support offered, our student wellbeing advisers can act on your behalf and contact the necessary departments to complete the name change process for you. You can email them at swa@gcu.ac.uk if you wish to do so. We would encourage students to contact a student wellbeing adviser as they can provide advice and support beyond the name change and can be a useful point of contact throughout your studies.
You can also contact us directly at studentrecords@gcu.ac.uk with your request.
