The ALLiEs network has been established to raise awareness and facilitate discussion around equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout the University. Students will have opportunities to contribute to making GCU accessible and as welcoming to everyone as possible. They'll be able to do this by participating in events, workshops, and other activities or they can suggest and run their own awareness-raising sessions with the support of the network.
How will this activity allow students to make a positive difference in the communities that we serve?

Students will become part of the ALLiEs network and have opportunities to educate themselves about EDI challenges and share their knowledge with others.
By building up their skill set and awareness of these issues, they can apply this to future working environments. While at GCU they will contribute to events celebrating diversity and promoting accessibility for staff and students.
What are the benefits for participating students?

Participating students will be able to participate in various ways to ensure they themselves feel comfortable regardless of their own challenges.
The events and activities will be student-led so individuals will have opportunities to develop their CVs by gaining experience in planning events, running events, chairing meetings, and facilitating discussion. If individuals would like to join the network and participate in less visible ways whilst developing their confidence, they will be supported to have their voices heard throughout.
The network welcomes everyone interested in making GCU and the student experience the best possible. It will provide a space for all abilities and levels to be part of the network to empower all.
