What is the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey?

The Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) is a national survey of postgraduate research students. The survey is co-ordinated by Advance HE and gathers feedback from postgraduate research students about their learning and teaching experience. It covers covers a range of topics including supervision, resources, research culture, progress and assessment, responsibilities, support, research skills, professional development, and opportunities.

How can I take part?

If you are eligible, you will receive an email invitation from the University with a link to the survey.

Why should I take part?

Participation is optional, but by completing the survey you will play an important part in enhancing the student experience for current and future Glasgow Caledonian students.

What happens with my feedback?

Your feedback will be used to help us identify how we can continue to enhance the student experience at GCU.

Your privacy comes first

We take your information privacy very seriously. All responses to student surveys are strictly confidential to the team processing the results and no reporting outside of this team will identify any individual. Any results communicated to teaching staff will be anonymised. The survey asks that any comments you make should not identify yourself or any specific members of staff.
