Private Accommodation
Private accommodation is classed as properties which are privately rented by individual owners or let (rented) by letting agents on behalf of owners. There are many ways of seeking private accommodation in Glasgow, either through searching through estate agents websites, or using online sites for rental properties, such as RightMove, OnTheMarket, s1Homes, Zoopla, etc. The properties advertised on these websites are suitable for all types of arrangements, whether you are here looking for accommodation with friends or are moving with your family.
Please note however, there is a housing shortage in Glasgow meaning you may need to focus your search beyond the City.
However, we advise you to continue your search diligently and try to get as many viewings as you can. Due to the housing crisis we also recommend expanding your search to areas beyond the city centre. To assist you in your search, we have created the accommodation dossier file that contains a list of towns near the university where finding suitable housing options may be easier and more affordable than in the city centre. have also created an estate agent file that includes a list of both larger agencies and smaller agents who are known for being more helpful with students.
