Memberships
No joining fees, no cancellation fees.
All memberships and pay as you go admissions are subject to our conditions of use.
By purchasing a membership you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these conditions, which is recorded when signing up - either online or at the ARC reception desk.
When purchasing any membership online, you can use the gym as soon as you receive your confirmation email (which is usually almost instantly) from Worldpay/Futurepay.
For monthly memberships, the 7th, 14th, 21st or 28th is when the first, or subsequent, payment will be taken - you do not need to wait for the first payment to be made.
Please be prepared to show your confirmation email if using the gym the same day you purchased the membership or over the weekend (if purchased on a Friday).
Please be prepared to show non-expired photographic ID when joining the gym for the first time.
Acceptable forms of ID include:
- Photocard driving licence (provisional or full)
- Passport or UK biometric residence permit (BRP)
- GCU staff ID card
- Student ID card from any college or university
- National entitlement card (NEC)
- Young Scot national entitlement card (Young Scot NEC)
For detailed information of what memberships need to be cancelled and how to do this, click the button below.
All customers, except as below, will have their photograph taken when joining the ARC for the first time or when renewing their membership.
Current GCU staff and students do not need to have their photo taken as GCU already has a photo available from other internal systems.
