The University is in effect a small community in its own right with a population equal to, and in some cases greater than, housing estates and small villages. In addition to this, it is a multi-million-pound business with requisite pressures to annually balance the books and service the needs of thousands of student clients and staff. The objective in support of this will be to continue to ensure a safe and secure campus with students, staff and visitors feeling safe and secure through highly visible and dedicated security staff operating out of a dedicated and visible security office.
