Students celebrate success at first in-person Caledonian Creates Exhibition in two years

Caledonian Creates Exhibition
Students and guests had the opportunity to celebrate each other's work

GCU students had the opportunity to showcase their work at the Caledonian Creates Exhibition – the first time the event had taken place on campus for two years!

Final year Digital Design students were delighted to have had the chance to see their work in person and used the opportunity to network with industry guests.

Fourth-year Digital Design student Chloe Doyle appreciated the chance to spend the evening celebrating amongst her classmates. She said: “This is the first-in person showcase in two years, so we’re really lucky that we got the opportunity. It’s great having a space for people to view everything, mingle and generally just chat about our work – it’s been so long since we could all do that.

"Events like this are perfect in terms of showcasing your work to potential employers as well. You get the opportunity to have that personal element of networking where you can chat and discuss different things. It’s a relaxed, informal environment which means you can sell yourself naturally and people can also see your work - it’s an amazing experience!”

Fourth-year Digital Design student Ryan Main enjoyed getting to mingle with everyone at the event, especially after completing most of his degree online. “To be able to have the opportunity to have both students and industry figures in the same room is a fantastic opportunity.

"It’s a great chance to generally meet people as well, whether you’re looking for a job or not – that’s what I was really looking forward to when coming to the event.”
