Mental Health Matters

We recognise that starting University can be an exciting time that brings many opportunities. Preparing to start University can also bring moments of stress and anxiety.

The Disability Team, in collaboration with the wider Student Wellbeing Team, deliver this session that aims to provide a smoother transition to University. It addresses common anxieties around starting University and explores the support available at Glasgow Caledonian. We also look at self-care and how to look after your mental health while at university.

This session is open to all new incoming students who have accepted an offer of a place at Glasgow Caledonian and typically takes place over one morning or afternoon in August. If you have disclosed a mental health condition on applying to study at GCU you will be invited to attend this session.
