It is recommended to use the eduroam CAT (Configuration Assistance Tool) for setting up your wifi connection. This can be applied whether you are on or off campus.
On campus For devices that do not have an internet connectionOpen a web browser and the following web page above with connection instructions will open up.

Click 'allow' A pop-up on the upper right of the screen will ask if you want to install the eduroam profile. Click the Apple logo, system preferences, profiles Click 'install' under the Profiles window, enter your systems username and password to approve install Enter your login credentialsstudents : username {username}@caledonian.ac.uk and password. staff : username {username}@gcu.ac.uk and password. You will see the eduroam connection is verified You will now be connected to eduroam when on campus or in an eduroam supported location

Switch on your Chromebook Select your language and keyboard language from the top two menus In the third menu select 'eduroam' In EAP method select 'PEAP' In Phase 2 authentication select 'MSCHAPv2' Leave Server CA certificate as 'Default' In 'Identity' type your email address {username}@caledonian.ac.uk if you are a student {username}@gcu.ac.uk if you are a staff member and enter your password. Leave 'Anonymous identity' as blank Ensure the 'save identity and password' option is checked and click Connect Once enabled, click 'continue'. You are now connected to the eduroam wireless network.
