Arc Health and Wellbeing classes (Glasgow campus)

The ARC gym is ideally located on campus and is open seven days per week. Employees of GCU can benefit from discounted memberships from £10 per month.

Cycle to Work scheme

As part of our commitment to promoting health and wellbeing and reducing its environmental impact, GCU partners with Halfords to offer GCU staff a Cycle to Work (CTW) scheme.

The scheme opens for applications once a year. The scheme is open to all employees on a contract of 12 months or over.

Mental health

GCU has teamed up with PAM Assist, a free confidential support service staffed by experienced and professional advisors who are contactable 24 hours a day.  Through PAM Assist there is access to clinical and professional expertise which gives members of staff a chance to talk about all kinds of work and personal issues. These might include debt advice, relationships, managing money, stress management, moving house, health advice, work issues, domestic abuse, drug or alcohol addiction, family care or bereavement.

Vision Centre (Glasgow Campus)

The GCU Vision Centre is equipped to the highest standards and is housed in a modern, purpose-built facility situated on the Ground Floor of the Govan Mbeki Health Building. The clinic provides full eye examination and dispensing under General Ophthalmic Services (NHS) regulations. Eye examinations are free under NHS regulations.
