Appointments and workshops

GCU London Library appointments, drop-ins and workshops

Your Campus Librarians can help you find and use the resources needed for assignments. We can recommend where you should search, help you choose relevant databases, plan a literature search and manage your results. We can also help with referencing and RefWorks.

Drop-in for quick questions

What is a ‘drop-in’? There’s no need to book a drop-in, simply visit the library during the advertised drop-in times and a librarian will be available to answer your questions. You’ll get at least 10 minutes with the librarian and may need to wait during busy times.

We aim to have a librarian available in the library for quick questions every day during teaching weeks. Check the LLDC weekly newsletter sent to your student email for drop-in times. If you're traveling to campus for a specific library question, we recommend you book an appointment (via the link in the LLDC newsletter) or phone us on 0141 331 8907.

Appointments

If you want more in-depth or personalised help, such as planning a literature search or an individual introduction to one of the specialist library databases, book an appointment via the link in the LLDC email newsletter. Appointments can be in-person or online.

Workshops

Your Campus Librarians offer a range of workshops and training sessions across the academic year. Check the LLDC weekly newsletter for details of upcoming workshops.
