Sustainability pioneers
GCU London places financial and environmental sustainability at the heart of its teaching and research. We were the first London university to sign up to the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Direction of Travel to ensure circular economy is central to everything we do – we are a hub for responsible enterprise.
GCU London is also part of a group of London Universities that organise and participate in the annual London Students Sustainability Conference. At this event, our staff and students present their research and have the opportunity to find out more about the incredible climate and sustainability work and research being undertaken by students across the city of London.

GCU London research initiatives
Academics at GCU London are highly networked and that is reflected in the monthly GCU London Research Seminar Series titled 'Culture, Consumption and Society', which has been running since September 2012. The seminar series attracts many leading academic scholars who share their latest research with internal and external audiences.
There are a number of other internal events and seminars that take place at GCU which benefit our research-active staff and PhD students in furthering their research agenda.
