AI-enhanced epilepsy diagnosis 

Led by Professor Hadi Larijani, researchers conducted a feasibility study on an AI-powered headset to enhance the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy.

Now, with funding from Scottish Enterprise HGSP, they aim to embed AI into a wireless headset that will monitor patients, improve diagnosis quality and efficiency, and alert clinicians to potential seizures. This innovative approach could transform epilepsy care in Scotland and beyond.

The researchers plan to develop a minimum viable product by August 2024, before launching a spin out company to distribute it.
