Fire risk engineering
The BEAM Research Centre offers expertise on Fire Risk Engineering through teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, academic research, and outreach and collaboration with industry. This expertise has been recognised by the Institute of Fire Engineers, the UK Engineering Council, and the Fire and Rescue Service.
BEAM's Fire Risk Engineering Research Repository documents the outputs of projects where this expertise has been applied, in addition to documenting appearances by BEAM fire experts in the local and national media.
