Alan Yeung is a research fellow in the blood borne viruses research group within the School of Health and Life Sciences and a healthcare scientist at Public Health Scotland. His background is in applied statistics and his PhD focussed on statistical applications in the analysis of vaccine preventable diseases.
Alan’s research areas include hepatitis C, HIV PrEP, people who inject drugs, and novel psychoactive substances. A particular focus is on the Evaluating the Population Impact of Hepatitis C Direct Acting Antiviral Treatment as Prevention for People Who Inject Drugs (EPIToPe) project.
Research Interests: hepatitis C, hepatitis B, HIV, HIV PrEP, people who inject drugs, opioid agonist therapy, novel psychoactive substances.
