Audrey is a Lecturer in Paramedic Science and Programme Lead for the BSc in Paramedic Science.
Audrey completed her BSc (Hons) in Immunology and Microbiology at the University of Strathclyde in 2009 with an honours research project investigating the role of phosphatidylethanolamine in streptomycete growth and differentiation. She then did some postgraduate work on modelling and modification of metabolic pathways in model organism S. coelicolor.
Audrey also completed an Erasmus Student Exchange Program-funded project supporting research into an improved ELISA method for serological diagnosis of Canine Leishmaniasis at the University of Porto.
Prior to joining Glasgow Caledonian in May 2022, Audrey was employed with the Scottish Ambulance Service as a frontline paramedic, with involvement in quality improvement projects including support and care of high-intensity users of emergency ambulance services, and audit and evaluation of medicines administered under Patient Group Directives.
Audrey is a full-time member of the Paramedic Science teaching team within the School of Health and Life Sciences and is currently finalising her PgCert in Academic Practice.
